Many people don't know there are many chiropractic technique choices. They simply assume all chiropractors use the typical “cracking and popping” techniques. If your treatment calls for it, you will still find that, but Dr. Sams uses the Activator technique, which is the world's largest low force technique in the world. It is incredibly gentle, non-invasive and relaxing.

Healing
Many people don't know there are many chiropractic technique choices. They simply assume all chiropractors use the typical “cracking and popping” techniques. Dr. Sams uses the Activator technique, which is the world's largest low force technique in the world. It is incredibly gentle, non-invasive and relaxing. Many people actually fall asleep while being adjusted! The Activator technique is based on science and has many studies to reference (https://www.activator.com). It is perfect for those who have had spinal/joint surgeries, have osteopenia/osteoporosis or just prefer a gentler approach. Because the Activator is a handheld instrument that delivers a gentle thrust, not only can the spine be adjusted, but areas like joints, extremities, muscles and soft tissue can also be addressed. Dr. Sams is an advanced proficiency rated doctor, which means she is required to attend yearly continuing education courses hosted by Activator to keep this rating. This way she is able to keep abreast of any new adjustments that have been found to be helpful in you obtaining the best version of you!
Dr. Sams also incorporates energy work to help you heal on a deeper level, never going any deeper than you are willing to go. The nervous system is based on energetic impulses that are flowing through us at all times, unless inhibited by blocks or constrictions to this vital communication flow. Most would have no problem thinking of our energy output being measured by an EEG or EKG but haven't been taught how the nervous system actually works. Dr. Sams will work with you to locate disruptions, which can be caused by different triggers, in your body and gently restore proper flow. This may require several visits as the body heals differently than we are conditioned to expect (quick fix). It is important that you follow through with the plan of care that Dr. Sams and you formulate, as many times you start to feel better after a few visits but have not fully healed. The payoff in being patient is being part of the healing process and experiencing how amazing your body really is!
